A separation airbag similar to a diaphragm is installed in the pressure housing of the water hammer absorber.   The inert gas (nitrogen) at the pressure of P0 rushes into the airbag through the intake valve until the airbag expands and fills the entire internal space of the water hammer absorber with volume V0.   When the circulating pressure P1 is greater than the preset pressure P0 of the gas, the Hydraulic Valve at the bottom opens, and the airbag is compressed to V1 due to the external circulating pressure.   If the pressure of the liquid increases to P2, the volume of the gas decreases to V2, and the pressure rises accordingly, thereby balancing the pressure of the liquid. That is to say, the airbag inside the water hammer absorber has been compressed, and the volume change is ΔV=V1 -V2. The energy it stores can be used where we need it.
