How steam solenoid valves work

February 15, 2022

Solenoid VALVES are electromagnetically controlled industrial equipment used in industrial control systems to adjust the direction, flow, speed, and other parameters of the media. The solenoid valve is controlled by the electromagnetic effect. The main control method is controlled by the relay. In this way, solenoid valves can be combined with different circuits to achieve the desired control, and the control accuracy and flexibility can be guaranteed. There are many kinds of solenoid valves, and different solenoid valves play a role in different positions of the control system.

Steam solenoid valve is a pilot-type secondary valve solenoid valve composed of two parts: the secondary valve and the main valve. It is the opening and closing of the sub valve that controls the opening and closing of the main valve. According to the different switch states when the power is off, it can be divided into normally closed solenoid valves and normally open solenoid valves.

When the steam normally closed solenoid valve is in the power off position, the secondary valve port is closed and the main valve is open. When the electric signal enters the pilot valve coil, the movable iron core is exposed to the electromagnetic force to open the secondary valve opening, and the main valve is inside the valve cup. The pressure quickly disappears. The medium pressure holds the main valve cup and opens the main valve port. The working medium is hard to circulate. When the telegraph disappears, the movable iron core resets and closes the secondary valve port. The working medium enters the valve cup through the self-aligning hole. When the pressure tends to be balanced, the main valve spring, the valve cup's own weight and the medium pressure make the valve cup lower. Move, seal the main valve tightly, and the valve is closed again.

When the steam normally open solenoid valve is in the power off position, it is acted by a spring, the sub valve opening is opened, and the main valve is circulated. When the telegram enters the sub-valve coil, the movable iron core is sucked by the electromagnetic action, the secondary valve port is closed, and the working medium enters the valve cup through the balancing hole. When the pressure tends to balance, the main valve spring, the weight of the valve cup and the medium The pressure causes the valve cup to move downwards, sealing the main valve port tightly, and the valve is closed. When the main valve is de-energized, the electromagnetic force disappears, the secondary valve opens, the pressure in the main valve cup rapidly disappears, the pressure of the medium presses the main valve cup, the main valve opening is opened, the medium circulates, and the valve is opened.
